Critical Care
Department of Medicine mainly deals with Cardiovascular, Respiratory( Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), Neurology, Nephrology, General GIT, General physiology of body etc. This department was established science the beginning of the hospital treating infectious diseases. For the critically ill patients we have eight bed intensive care unit which was established in Feb 2004. Now the hospital is well equipped to deal with intensive care and general cardiology, neurology, and respiratory cases.
Now the hospital has sixteen beds ICU with bed side monitor, central console, De Feb, ventilator, infusion pump, heamo heater, fitted with central oxygen & central suction. ICU has a procedure room for minor procedure of ICU. Apart from machines we have well trained ICU doctors 24 hours a day with trained paramedical staff. Overall supervision of the ICU is being done by Dr. Rachna Varma M.D. Anaesthesia & Dr. V. Gupta M.D. Medicine. The critical care department provides comprehensive care and life support services to patients who are critically ill and require intensive fiber optic intubation and mechanical invasive ventilatory support monitoring. Adult Care
The adult critical care services are spread over a number of intensive care units (ICUs) that are dedicated to providing compassionate intensive care to seriously ill patients. All ICUs are well-equipped with the most advanced technologies to treat patients suffering from a dysfunction of vital organs caused by acute conditions like infections, heart attack, stroke, renal failure, trauma, poisoning, drug overdose, and burns.
